US: This Youth Generation: Youth workers, you can hate job but love work (Opinion)

Most people are well aware of the emotional toll, risk and stress that is related to the occupation of youth services. A good friend of mine who worked in Child Protective Services shared with me how he routinely came home through the garage to decompress before he went into his home to greet his family. He left his clothes and shoes in the garage where he had a small sofa near the laundry room. He refused to bring any aspects of the emotional stress, hardship, negative energy or tragedy that he regularly experienced on the job into his home life.
