With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, now is a good time to take a personal inventory of mental health needs – especially after two years of coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. In March, a report detailing a global 25% rise in mental health issues was released by the World Health Organization (WHO), and according to its website, was intended as a wake-up call to all countries to step up the availability of mental health services.
