Start Healing Together is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on advocating for rights in the workplace when experiencing pregnancy loss, infertility, or adoption loss. We cater our services to each individual because every family-building experience, every loss, and every grief journey is unique. We do not offer a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, we work with the individual to ensure their needs are met. This allows them to take care of themselves while we take care of the rest.
Mission Statement: Start Healing Together will champion employee advocacy in the workplace by providing information, instruction, and support to help alleviate the stigmas surrounding pregnancy loss, infertility, and adoption loss.
The goal for our organization is trifold: to make workers aware of their rights, to inform employers how to best support their staff, and to direct all parties to helpful resources.
This kind of grief can be very difficult to navigate, especially considering the stigmas surrounding infertility, miscarriage, TFMR, stillbirth, and neonatal loss. To combat this, we encourage an open dialogue. We hope that the information from our group can provide comfort to those that need it most.
Pregnancy loss, infertility, and adoption loss
The President, Vice President, and Board Members have not had any personal experience with adoption. We work closely with parents who have undergone adoption and those that are considering adoption to build their families. Through these conversations, we have developed our services to best accommodate these employees.
