PA: Commissioner: Child welfare workers ‘bullied and traumatized’ in Bucks County courts (Includes video)

County Commissioner Chairwoman Diane Ellis-Marseglia blasted the Bucks County family courts Wednesday, saying the atmosphere during hearings for some of the county’s most vulnerable children is leading their advocates to leave the job. “We are aware you feel bullied and traumatized almost every time you are in a dependency hearing,” Marseglia said to the county Department of Children and Youth caseworkers who attended the meeting to be honored by the commissioners. Marseglia said she is aware among the toughest challenges they face, and primary cause of their stress, is going to Bucks County Court.
