NY: Foster care children in New York to receive more health services (Includes video)

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services and the New York State Department of Health recently announced a more comprehensive set of health services to further support children in foster care in New York state. The agencies are working with 75 voluntary foster care agencies (VFCAs) licensed by the Department of Health to provide youth access to a standard set of medical and behavioral health services. This new partnership connects the youth to extensive networks of health care providers, including doctors, dentists, behavioral health care providers, specialists and pharmacies.
