NY: For Students to Recover and Thrive, New York Should Ensure Free School Meals Statewide (Opinion)

As students have returned to the classrooms, back-to-school jitters are likely to be at an all-time high. Anxiety about everything from vaccination status to social status may be keeping kids and parents up at night, but covering the cost of school meals should not be a cause for concern. Permanently providing free school breakfast and lunch for all is fundamental to the promise of educational opportunity across the United States.
