Every parent has heard the phrase “spare the rod; spoil the child.”  And most parents have heard someone say that spanking is a form of child abuse.  Parents often ask, “Is it really possible to raise children without spanking or spoiling them?”  The good new is, “Yes! You can raise children without spanking and spoiling.”  Children who do not receive clear limits are often spoiled; however, spanking is only one way to establish limits.  There are so many other choices!
