A Guide for Those Who Adopt and Their Supporters

It is important for all of us, whatever our background, to understand what life was like for Native Americans before the coming of the Europeans, and what changes occurred after the European arrival.  For those of us adopting, parenting, neighboring, teaching and loving a Native American child, we need to know our child’s roots, what our child has lost, and what our child can hope to regain.
