This workshop will explore the similarities between isolation and depression, paying close attention to the distinct needs and behaviors of parents suffering from depression and anxiety.

Social isolation can have a profound impact on parental mental health and resilience, affecting both parents and their children.  You will learn coping skills you can share with parents to address the effects of isolation in the short and long terms. You will also learn when to consult with mental health professionals in your work with families.
