There are multiple levels of stress and trauma that exist on a continuum, and they effect the brain and body in different ways. Children in the system of care often have experienced multiple types of traumas. When we try overly simplified, “one-size fits all” approaches, they often do not work well on their own. Within those gaps of treatment and meeting needs, crisis related behavior may develop. We will look at taking a whole brain, whole body, whole community approach to treating trauma and reducing related behaviors.
