In six evenings we will show the film and the five sections of the companion DVD. Each evening is introduced by adult adoptee experts, who will also facilitate the discussion afterward. The internet provides a powerful networking tool for prospective adoptive parents to connect with birth mothers. Learn how you can strategize with your attorney to develop an internet networking plan that fits your financial and other concerns. You can easily create your own website and link it to adoption-friendly and other sites while you attorney screens the birth mother for you. How to communicate with birth parents, obtaining the birth parents' medical/social family history and prenatal care records, and ascertaining safety and risks of the birth mother's situation will be addressed.
Since 1987, Deborah Steincolor, a licensed NJ/NY attorney has participated in  over 1,900 adoptions representing prospective adoptive parents in achieving their dreams through private networking, creating and coordinating adoption plans, and finalizing the adoption placements. Deborah obtained License in Social Work to be more in tune with her clients and have more skill in screening birth parents. She serves as Chair of the Private Adoption-ART Networking Committee of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.
Following the speaker, you are invited to share in our roundtable discussion covering pre-adopt or post adopt topics of concern.
